Why does my flashlight keep cutting off?
Restart the phone
If a particular app or process is conflicting with the flashlight, then a simple reboot should fix it. Just hold the power button and select “Power off” from the menu. Now wait 10-15 seconds and turn it back on. This should fix the problem in most cases.
This may be simply because your device doesn't have enough battery power left to support the feature at that moment. Therefore, you should plug your iPhone into a power source and start charging it. The flashlight feature should start working again once your iPhone has sufficient power.
It's a power saving feature. On some phones like Samsung or Motorola, if it detects your face looking at the screen it will stay on but if you put it down it will shut off. It's also the reason the phone will light up/wake up when you are reaching for it. The phone senses this and displays the lock screen.
Batteries left inside LED flashlights get drained even when they are powered off and not in use because of what is known as “parasitic drain”. Most LED Lights need a constant power supply in order to record when the switch has been pressed. This constant power is what leads to “parasitic drain”.
Open the Settings App, then go to System → Gestures → Quick Tap. Turn on the feature by pressing the Use Quick Tap button. Scroll down, then tap the Toggle flashlight option. Double-tap the back of your phone to make sure you see the Quick Tap detected notification.
Restart Android / Samsung Phone
The common solution that works mostly for several problems, is to restart your phone. If some application is interfering with the flashlight, then a reboot will solve this problem.
Long-life low-power LED lights make best use of limited battery resources. I would avoid using your iPhone's flashlight overnight. Its battery life could suffer for so many cycles of charging.
Leaving the flash on doesn't damage your battery, it just drains it faster. The flash is an LED, LED's don't generate that much heat. If Flashlight still works, your iPhone is just fine.
You don't need to worry about the iPhone flashlight burning out. How long does a mobile flashlight last? The typical phone flashlight 'bulb' is a LED (Light-Emitting Diode) and typically lasts 55,000 hours (if on 8 hours a day, it would last 17 years, by then you would've replaced your phone multiple times.)

Don't overdo it.
Overcharging occurs when the device or battery is plugged into a charger after full charge has been reached and may reduce battery life. Battery University recommends that nickel- and lithium-based batteries be stored with a 40 percent state-of-charge.
This is what happens when you shake the flashlight. A capacitor allows you to use the flashlight without continuously shaking it. A capacitor works basically as a battery but with one big advantage: It charges immediately and, after just a few shakes, the flashlight is already usable.

And as you know, leaving your phone to charge overnight will charge up to 100 percent. This means, that if you charge every day overnight, your battery performance will begin to diminish within a few years.
The commission said Olight “has received 127 reports of flashlights turning on inadvertently and overheating resulting in 22 reports of burn injuries. Three consumers reported receiving second-degree burns.”
How long does iPhone LED last?

Start the flashlight on your iPhone by asking Siri
iOS also lets you turn the flashlight on by asking Siri to perform this task. Say "Hey Siri," and then something like "Turn on the flashlight." If Siri understood you correctly, she turns the flashlight on and tells you that "It's on."
They Don't Burn Out

DO replace the batteries in your flashlight or lantern every few months if it isn't used for extended periods of time. This insures that it has fresh, working batteries and prevents battery leakage.
You can turn off the flash on your Android device with a few quick taps in the Camera app.
If you see a red light, your battery is fully discharged. If the red light is flashing, there isn't enough power to turn on. Charge your phone for at least 30 minutes before restarting.
Why should you not charge your phone at night?
Charging your phone overnight occasionally probably won't make a noticeable difference in the battery life for years to come, but if you do it every night consistently, you will probably notice your battery performance degrading over time.
All you need to do is download the app on your iOS device, select your nightlight colors, optional sleep sounds, screen brightness, sleep timer and flashlight settings - then place your device on a night stand or near a corner in a room for the best illumination.
Put simply, you can safely charge your devices overnight without having to worry about damaging their internals. Modern electronics automatically stop pulling current once their batteries reach 100% charge. However, charging your smartphone to full each time isn't ideal for battery longevity.

A AAA battery typically can provide 1000 mAh which at 20mA is (more or less) 1000/20 or 50 hours.
The operating life of a LED is unaffected by turning it on and off. While lifetime is reduced for fluorescent lamps the more often they are switched on and off, there is no negative effect on LED lifetime.
